The National Association of Black Scuba Divers Youth Educational Summit (NABSYES) will meet in San Pedro Ambergris, Belize, June 29 thru July 6, 2019. A combination of youth scuba divers and non-scuba divers between the ages of 12 to 17 years of age are invited to attend the NABSYES program to learn about marine conservation. This is an ideal summer program for any youth with an interest in learning more about marine science topics. If you are not a scuba diver, you must be able to swim 200 meters and tread water for 10 minutes to be eligible to attend the NABSYES summer program.
Daily 2-tank morning dives are scheduled for divers. Non-divers will have an opportunity to participate in a Discover the Scuba Program or complete the PADI Open Water Scuba Course.
Other scheduled activities include learning about fish and coral identification, Endangered marine species, nautical rope tying, underwater navigation, improving scuba skills, coral restoration orientation class and learning about the Belizean Culture and much more. It will be a week full of organized hands-on activities.
NABSYES will be hosted by Ramon's Village Resort and Ramon's Dive Center. This is an all-inclusive resort for 6-Nights lodging, R/T airport transfers to the resort, all meals and 2-tank 5-day dives and 1-night dive. This package does not include airfare to and from Belize. A passport is required to travel to Belize.
